This is what we started with.
The Kilzing and filling of the holes followed.
See the bright white where we had to fill in from the place not being heated in years.

Yes purple! I usually have to nap, so I wanted a very dark room. But with the right aka white, accents, it works.
Yes it looks black in the pic, but I assure you all, it's a wonderful purple. See my white molding, windows, and small ceiling.
I'm sorry it's blurry, but it's all I've got. Now as you can see the first coat of stain was put down on the floor.
How was that done? My mother got down on her hands and knees and did the floor. Her poor knees
looked horribly abused.
I'd like to note the wonderful windows again. I cannot wait for spring so I can have them open.
Down went the first coat of shellac.
